There is a lot of confusion surrounding our field. I want to give you 4 criteria or elements you absolutely, positively must have in any training course you get your paws on:

1: The training course must deal with positive reinforcement only. And it must state it on its cover. Many books will try to hide the fact that you have to hit, drag, even throw chains at your animal to get it to perform.
And yes, these other manuals will work, but your dog will hate you, and anyone watching your dog perform the tricks will wonder how often you beat your dog when its tail is tucked between its legs during every trick. Our course teaches you how to fix behavior problems without ever touching your dog

2: The course needs to have very specific instructions on how to fix each behavior you need fixed. In our course we cover all the basics with how to get started along with.

Your dog must learn how to master all of the basic behaviors with visual hand cues and audio cues. Your dog won't always be able to hear you. He might be in a noisy park, or lose his hearing with old age, and will need to rely on your signals to still obey, even when he can't hear you.

4: A training manual needs to dive into more difficult behaviors, and not just focus on making your dog just tolerable.
Only the more difficult tricks require your dog to go out on a limb and trust you 100%. It is this extra trust that will take your relationship with your dog to the next level.
A training system that leaves this out, will not give you the full benefit of a very deep bond with your dog.
